Show and Tell
July 20, 2022Assembly on Healthy Eating Habits
July 21, 2022To introduce the tiny tots of UKG to the body’s sense organs, a ‘Five Senses Stations’ activity was conducted in the class. The students were explained that sense organs are those parts of the body through which an individual can smell, see, hear, taste and feel.
A ‘Play and learn with Clay’ activity on the concept of more and less was also organised. Clay craft is a fun and interesting way to nurture a child’s creativity, boost imagination, and develop self-confidence. Moreover, the touch and feel of clay has a relaxing quality. The teachers guided the pupils to make different objects related to the concept of more and less with clay. They pounded, squeezed, rolled and blended the clay to make some unique objects like fish, rose, cup cakes, ball, boat, butterfly, etc.
To boost the cognitive and gross motor skills, a ‘Missing number activity’ was also conducted in the class. It was an engaging and fun learning experience for the students as they learnt missing numbers by skipping the numbers.
