Step 1. The parent is required to fill an admission enquiry form.

Step 2. The parent will be given a tour of the school by the Admission Counselor.

Step3. Based on the age and class in which admission is sought, the child’s interaction and assessment will be conducted by the Academic Coordinator/ Vice Principal.

Step 4. The Admission Counselor will share the assessment result on the following day with the parent and get the admission form filled.

Step 5. In case school transportation is needed, a parent will meet the TPM about the route and seats. Once the confirmation received from the TPM only then the school transport service will be provided to the child.

Step 6. The following documents are required at the time admission:

- A copy of birth certificate of the child (Self Attested).
- Transfer Certificate (Original)
- Tehsildar's Certificate : for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Backward Communities
- Copy of the Report Card of the last school attended.
- Copy of Aadhar card (Self Attested).
- In case of an NRI student, a copy of the passport (Self Attested).
- 3 passport sized photographs of the child, 1 each of both the parents, and 1 of the guardian (optional).

Step 7: Deposit of fee : Admission will be confirmed only after the deposit of fee and once confirmed by the Accounts department.

Note : The school reserves the right to admit only the children found eligible for admission. In all the matters related to admission, the decision of the Principal will be final.
Admissions for KG to Class IX are open. (Age UKG 5+ years as on 1st April 2025)

The Admission Coordinator at the reception of the school will provide the prospective parent with the Admission Enquiry form. Then the parent will be given a tour of the school by the Admission Coordinator. The Admission Coordinator will interact with the parents and explain the curriculum and co-curricular activities conducted in the school. INFRASTRUCTURE

1 What kind of infrastructure does the school have?
Smart Wonders has a state-of-the-art, centrally air-conditioned infrastructure providing some of the finest amenities. The school has well- equipped Computer, Art and Math & Science Composite Labs that promote practical and hands-on learning, along with a fully automated air-conditioned library. The school has a lawn tennis court, a football field, a swimming pool, a basketball court and a cricket pitch. It also provides a wide range of indoor sports for the students.


ABOUT ADMISSIONS

1What is the entry level of the school?
The entry level class is UKG. Ideally, the child should be 5+ on the 1st April of the year when admission is sought for the entry level. Admission is currently open for the new session.

The school reserves the right to admit the children found eligible for admission. In all the matters related to admission, the decision of the Principal is final.

2What is the procedure for admission to the entry level?

Step 1: A parent, interested in admitting their child to Smart Wonders School, is required to fill an admission enquiry form.
Step 2: The parent will be given a tour of the school by the Admission Counselor.
Step 3: Based on the age and class in which admission is sought, the child’s interaction and assessment will be conducted by the respective Academic Coordinator/Head of the Wing.
Step 4: The Admission Counselor will share the assessment result the following day with the parent and get the admission form filled.
Step 5: In case school transportation is needed, the parent will meet the Transport Manager (TPM) to discuss the bus route and available seats. Once a confirmation is received from the TPM, then the school transport service will be provided to the child. 
Step 6: The following documents are required to be submitted at the time of admission:

  • A copy of Birth Certificate of the child (Self Attested).
  • Transfer Certificate (Original)
  • Tehsildar's Certificate : for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Backward Communities

Step 7: Payment of Fee: Admission will be confirmed only after the fee has been deposited and the same has been confirmed by the Accounts department.

3Is there a deadline for applying?
No, there is no deadline. The admissions depend upon the availability of seats in various classes.
4When should I submit the application for admission?
  • The Registration and Admission for the New Academic Session is currently open.
  • Mid-term admission is subject to vacancy.
5Is there an interview required for admission?
There is no interview of the child at the time of admission. An informal interaction of the child is conducted with the respective Academic Coordinator/ Head of the Wing.
6When does your academic session begin and end?
The academic session begins in April and ends in March of the subsequent year.
7Is transport facility available?
The school takes pride in its large fleet of buses, each one of which is equipped with GPS and CCTV cameras. Strict compliance to the rule of having a trained female attendant in each bus is adhered to diligently. The school has launched a mobile application which allows parents to monitor and track the school buses. The app provides real-time information about the location of the bus, its time of departure and arrival along with its current speed.
8How is the school fee payable?
The school fee can be paid through School Payment Gateway on the SchoolPad app, or by Net Banking. Alternatively, the same can also be paid by submitting a cheque, along with the fee challan, at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Phase 3B-2, Mohali.
9What does the school fee include?
The school fee includes the Monthly Fee and the Activity Fee.

ABOUT ACADEMICS

1What is the teacher student ratio in the school?
The school has a 1:14 Teacher Student ratio.
2What classes are offered by the school?
The school is from Class UKG to Class 10, affiliated to CBSE Board.
3How frequent are the Parent Teacher meetings?
There are 4 PTMs conducted during an academic session. However, the parents are welcome to visit the school on any working Saturday between 10:00 am to 11:30 am to meet the Educators, the Coordinators or the Heads of the Wings.
4Does the school provide support for the students with special needs and learning disabilities?
Looking at the current scenario of post-COVID state of mind of the students and their parents, Smart Wonders School has a full time counselor and a special educator appointed to guide the students and take care of their mental health.
5What is the school examination policy?
A continuous and comprehensive system of evaluation is followed for all classes as per the CBSE guidelines. There are no formal exams in the Foundation Years (UKG – 2) and the students are assessed on their concept clarity and expression. However, Class 2 students have a Final exam before they move to Primary Years (Classes 3-5). There are Periodic Assessments with Half-yearly & Final Exams for the students of Class 3 onwards.
6How can I get access to the academic achievements of my child?
A parent login ID along with the user password shall be issued to each parent for a quick and convenient access to their child’s performance. The comprehensive and interactive school website provides student-centric information to the parent.


CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY

1Which sports activities are offered in the school?
Smart Wonders School offers its students a variety of indoor and outdoor sports. Basketball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Football, Swimming, Chess, Taekwondo, Aerobics and Yoga are some of the few.
2What is the SWS Enrichment Program?
SWS Enrichment Program provides a plethora of activities for the students with the aim of motivating them to discover their innate talents. The SWS Enrichment Program includes Enrichment Clubs, Inter-House Competitions, Inter-School Competitions, Morning Sports Academy and Evening Sports Academy. Each student from Class 3 onwards gets a chance to select two activities of their choice from the Enrichment Clubs to engage in during an academic session. These form a part of their time table and are conducted twice a week, for an hour’s duration each.
3Does the school participate in Inter-School Events?
Yes, the students of the school participate in various inter-school events hosted by different schools in the Tricity. Besides that, on an annual basis, Smart Wonders School also hosts various co-curricular and sports competitions for other schools from the region.

The school provides water coolers equipped with RO, a comprehensive CCTV coverage of the campus, an on-campus Green Café, infirmary, female attendants, workshops for students and parents and a wide range of inter-house and inter-school competitions along with other facilities for the students.
