English Poem – Ben and His Flamingo by Geet Kaur Class 4 A

 

 

Once upon a time,

There was a boy named Ben,

His birthday comes in May,

And he’s almost ten.

 

One day he went to the market,

Wearing shiny boots,

Then he said to the shopkeeper,

“I want lots of fruits.”

 

The shopkeeper gave him

Apple, banana and mango,

And as he was going home,

He saw a flamingo.

 

It had pink fur,

It had small eyes,

And when Ben goes near it,

The flamingo shies.

 

And then, however,

Ben took it home.

He told himself,

“Let me name it Arome.”

 

After a few months,

Ben became a master,

Arome became his pet,

And they lived happily ever after.
